If you have never been to Crater Lake before, this place needs to be high on your bucket list. This of one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen and it’s right in our backyard. Make a day off it and stop by Diamond Lake along the way. This is about 2 hours away.

About an hour and forty five minute drive, Diamond Lake provides a plethora of outdoor activities. The fishing is fantastic due to the lake being regularly stocked. There are rental boats, rafts, bikes, and more. A lodge is also available for all day dining. In the winter, there is also a popular tube hill (see photos.

The owner Ray, is well loved in this own. This is a very small place, but they stay very busy. Make sure you don’t get there to late, as they only make a certain number of pizzas each night.

This was a vacant mansion ever since we were kids, until someone had a beautiful vision to remodel it into a fine dining restaurant. The food is good, and the ambience is excellent.

Wolf Creek Falls is a short 45 minute drive away and offers a easy/moderate hiking trail. The falls are worth the hike, especially in the late spring when the water levels are higher.
