My family calls it "the ducks and geese park" for evident reasons. It's a convenient place to walk, run, or kick a ball around. There is a pond, as well as benches, picnic tables, and a playground. A botanical garden is open during the spring and summer. You might meet conservationists who can explain the local wildlife to you. Note that the spray park is only open to residents of the Town of Babylon.

This is a popular place for picnics and get-togethers. Check the NY State Parks website for more info including entrance fees (which are not required on weekends after 4pm, last I checked).
