We highly recommend stopping by Porter's in Alpine, before making your way down highway 118 to Terlingua. You will get better prices and they have a great variety at this grocery store. It is also a great place to get some ice.

The Cottonwood is arguably they most important store in Terlingua. They have a good selection of groceries, campings supplies, fire wood, water, ice gas cylinders, etc. and you can even fill up containers of water out of the their hose on the right side of the building for 10 cents/gallon.

This is some of the best BBQ you can buy. The owner is extremely nice and sociable and cares about providing great service. The store is conveniently located in Terlingua Ghost Town.

This is some excellent pizza. Some restaurants you never know if they will actually be open so I appreciate that this place operates on a regular schedule and the food is great.

Place for a hot shower
If you need a hot shower after leaving the park, the back of the Big Bend Resort has pay-per-use showers. They work just like a Laundromat; insert 8 quarters and you can shower for about 10 minutes. The front desk of the hotel can exchange bills for quarters if needed.
