The turn off for Springbrook National Park is just at the end of our road - and then it's a winding uphill 40 min drive to the top of the mountain to take walking trails and bridges through rainforest and lookouts of beautiful waterfalls.

Burleigh Beach has loads to offer - just factor in time to find a park! It has beautiful beaches, north burleigh and south burleigh have beautiful lookouts and walking paths. Playgrounds are all across the boardwalk and across the road are lots of little shops and restaurants near Justin Lane.

Burleigh Beach has loads to offer - just factor in time to find a park! It has beautiful beaches, north burleigh and south burleigh have beautiful lookouts and walking paths. Playgrounds are all across the boardwalk and across the road are lots of little shops and restaurants near Justin Lane.
Looking for something different than the Themeparks and Beaches? One of our favourite family day's out is to go to Tropical Fruit World. It has free fruit tastings, free mini train ride for the kids, mini-golf and playgrounds, feeding the Australian farm animals and a cafe. Insider Tip: Make sure you get there early thought to be on the first tractor tour though. It's 35 mins away - 29 Duranbah Rd, Duranbah NSW

Shhhhh this is a local's secret! You wont' even find it on Google! Set a timer and drive 15 mins from my house up Austinville Rd, in Austinville. Drive until you see this sign and park in the car park. Then walk 150m until you reach another sign and then follow those steep steps down into this magical swimming hole with beautiful rockpools. If you have water shoes and pool noodles/tubes - bring them along!
