Most anyone driving to Acadia National Park or Bar Harbor will pass through this town which is also conveniently located 20 minutes from Blue Hill. Located at a major crossroads along U.S. Route 1 in Hancock County, Ellsworth has been the focus of much development for the eastern Maine region.

It also sits at the waters edge, just follow the staircase down where you'll find a sweet little beach and shallow water, as well as a large rock for climbing and exploring (and jumping off at high tide). Great spot to launch your paddle board, or to simply sit and wonder at your good fortune for finding your way to this little slice of heaven. This is also the location of the weekly outdoor Steel Drum dance party Flash In The Pan.
