Bodmin and Wenford Railway - a historic steam line - taking you into Bodmin. The Parkway is a 2 mile walk along station drive- a stunning walk along the River Fowey. Just walk over both bridges and turn right at the carpark all the way along the walkway to the station! Perfect activity for couples but also all the family.

Epic cliff-jumping, but keep it quiet as it’s a local secret! Can be dangerous so make sure kids are supervised. There is also a tour company (Cornish Rock Tours) that will guide you with full safety gear.

South coast sending, such a gem of a beach. Boiling hot with no waves - a true sun trap with great food and drink right on the beach. There is also a great pier you can jump off only at high tide.

A beach more suited to experienced surfers. Can get disgustingly massive, but is lifeguarded.

The Cribbar is a wave that very rarely gets going/is actually rideable.. it breaks to the right of Fistral beach and is essentially legendary.. nasty rocks and huge rips. Only pros/clinically insane take this wave on. Insanely dangerous. Can get triple/quad overhead.
If it gets going it is a must see from the headland above. Bucket list.

The Cribbar is a wave that very rarely gets going/is actually rideable.. it breaks to the right of Fistral beach and is essentially legendary.. nasty rocks and huge rips. Only pros/clinically insane take this wave on. Insanely dangerous. Can get triple/quad overhead.
If it gets going it is a must see from the headland above. Bucket list.
Very difficult to get to- long walk down steep paths - or easy via boat.
But worth it - flat calm seas with the right winds, crystal clear water and very quiet due to the above reasons. Bring a BBQ and get settled in!

Activity
Just a 10 minute ride or a 3 minute drive - endless mountain bike trails are just on the other side of the valley! Head over both bridges and to the top of the hill where you will crest the hill- then see the bike crossing where fun awaits for all abilities. Great family activity.

Another fantastic mountain biking spot. The cafe is also fabulous if there are some amongst the group who would rather watch than hurtle down a hillside!

Food scene
Owned and run by a very good friend of mine, the food is superb and is only outdone by the views out over the sunset beach. The belly pork is my recommendation - as it is my home bred pork!

Another Sams - the original. Atmosphere and service legendary. Local produce at the heart and good times guaranteed.
The seafood is fab but if you’re hungry then try and take on the Super Beast Burger!
