Bookings necessary. It says it's Italian but really I would class as modern Australian dining. Well priced for the experience also.

Let's face it...Coffee is personal! For The Hostess, it's a big deal EVERY morning. It needs to be made for me by someone else (I have a big family). It needs to be large, strong and at 62 degrees precisely!
We have many fabulous coffee spots in this area, but if I am to recommend one that hits all the spots, it's Sarmic. The Chef there is pedantic about his food. He cooks everything onsite. The coffee is fab. The feel of the place is industrial, there is a courtyard out the back that no one actually knows about but locals. there is plenty of street parking and located about 1km away. And most importantly...the coffee is GREAT!

The beauty of our place is that we are so close to Bulimba but just a little bit out! Fabulous Restaurants, gift stores, coffee. Park at the beginning and walk your way down to the Ferry and back. Catch the ferry into the CBD or Southbank.

Hawthorne is for the locals, if you know what I mean. Some fabulous restaurants, the Deluxe Movie Theatre (www.cineplex.com.au) at a 'so cheap price', it's a little hidden gem that you will not find on the travellers guide. Only 3km from our Airbnb, but a million miles away.

just a 7min ferry ride off Victoria Point in the Redlands.
It took until 1842 for Coochiemudlo Island to be opened for free settlement, along with the rest of the Moreton Bay region. Temporarily, the island was known as Innis Island, but soon reverted to its Aboriginal name in the Quandamooka language, with the anglicised spelling ‘Coochiemudlo’.
