This is a beautiful black sand beach, that you can drive up too. It's great for snorkeling, with sapphire blue waters and reef fish that will leave you smiling underwater when you see them. Turtles also swim here, and lifeguards are there to help you! Highly recommend this place for swimming!

The Volcano is a fiery intense experience . One that should not be missed if your staying at my house. It's Only a half hour drive away. I recommend walking around the crater rim trail and looking down into the heart of the volcano.
Sometimes it's fuming white smoke, other times gurgling hot red molten lava.
I'd also recommend walking thru thurston lava tube. What a rush to walk thru a massive lava tube that' top reaches 20 feet high. Some of the forest trails are also stunning and you can see huge hapu trees similar to a gigantic fern. Wild pheasants roam these areas and it's brilliant to encounter one these stunning birds.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
The Volcano is a fiery intense experience . One that should not be missed if your staying at my house. It's Only a half hour drive away. I recommend walking around the crater rim trail and looking down into the heart of the volcano.

This waterfall is absolutely stunning. A local jewel located not far from Hilo town and 20 min. From my house. It's got a nice walking trail near the falls.
Enjoy the peaceful rainbow falls as you can drive almost right up to it!

Go down to the beach and go to the left side of the beach, and you'll see a beautiful river. There is a small black sand beach here. There is also some nice waves that come into the river. The whole beach is filled with waves but if your a beginner I recommend catching the small waves near the river.
There Are lifeguards here and restrooms.

Go down to the beach and go to the left side of the beach, and you'll see a beautiful river. There is a small black sand beach here. There is also some nice waves that come into the river. The whole beach is filled with waves but if your a beginner I recommend catching the small waves near the river.
