This one is obvious! We're just 40 minutes from the park. Take a short trip to experience Boiling River and Mammoth Hot Springs, or a longer trip (get up early!) to see wolves in Lamar Valley and make your way around the loop to Old Faithful and the Geyser basins.

For the very adventurous, keep going for a 3,000 foot 4-mile climb to Pine Creek Lake, a 32-acre lake fed by a cascading plunge. This last part is an all-day hike or an overnighter.
