We love their gin! Do we need to say more? We have mint in the garden each summer so you can make your own mojito. The Sooke River Hotel liquor store or the 17 Mile Liquor Shoppe have it in stock if you don't have time to visit the tasting room.

Sightseeing
A 1.7 km flat walk on a spit between the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Sooke Basin. Perfect for a sunset walk. Transient Killer Whales are often seen feeding on the marine mammals that live in the local waters.

Whiffin Spit RoadA 1.7 km flat walk on a spit between the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Sooke Basin. Perfect for a sunset walk. Transient Killer Whales are often seen feeding on the marine mammals that live in the local waters.
Walk out over the Sooke Harbour looking at interpretive signage and the natural beauty. You can access the marine boardwalk via Ed Macgregor Park and the accessible walkway. Borrow our crab trap and try your hand catching dinner BUT be sure to know the laws (you need a fishing license) and regulations for species, sex and size of crab that you are allowed to keep. We can lend you a crab pot but ask that you cook them outside.

The Province of BC recently handed over its interest in the park to the local government and now its operation is shared with the Capital Regional District. Jump on the Goose from our back yard - the potholes is 4 km walk/ride from home.
Swim in a 25 m indoor pool, relax in the sauna or hot tub, or work out in our new fitness centre - there is something for everyone. There is also an arena and bike park.

This is our neighbourhood! The Sooke Potholes are famous for its natural beauty and hiking trails. While the Sooke Potholes Park is 2 km away you are welcome to access the River from our property. Simply walk to the end of the cul-de-sac, walk how the gravel driveway to access the Sooke River Parkand Reserve. Go through one of the two gates just past the empty house and you can share our little piece of paradise. Please don't drive down to the parkland reserve and remember to pack out our waste and leave only footprints.
