Super popular bakery here in little Spotswood! So much to choose from so best to ask what they would recommend today. I do love their cakes - very unique and so delicious!!! Grab some food and take a walk to one of the local parks or walk a bit further towards the water and have a meal with a view.

Definitely one of the best places for brunch if you are after a creative take on some old favourites. Amazing flavour combinations!! Highly recommend! There is also a child friendly area out the back but personally I like to sit by the front window and watch the world go by.

Who doesn’t love Italian food - this place does the best pasta! (In my opinion). The pizza is pretty good too but the pasta is delicious! Located along the historic area of Williamstown it’s worth a trip!

Scienceworks is great for families, for older kids can highly recommend the Planetarium Nights!

I would live here if I could! My second home - the National Gallery of Victoria has it all, a wonderful atmosphere, fantastic exhibitions, so much to see!!! I can highly recommend the NGV Friday nights (which are often on most evenings of the week during the summer months). Check it out!!!

Do you like old trains? Me too!!! Luckily there is a railway museum only one stop away at Newport. Check them out online to see when tours are on but also when a ‘Red Rattler’ might be passing through Spottie station!!!

I love to visit the state library. Such a beautiful old building in the heart of Swanston st in the city. If you go you must check out the dome room both from below and from the viewing areas. Spectacular!

I love the Yarraville Sun theatre, if you love old buildings this is truly an iconic one from the local area. Taken from the Sun Theatre’s webpage: ‘The Sun originally opened in 1938 and was a single screen 1050 seat cinema – the most luxurious in the area. Most Saturday’s were fully booked at the Sun; both a booking office and ticket counter were used to handle the large crowds. Today’s SUN BOOKSHOP was the original candy bar. Imagine the buzz on a Saturday night which regularly sold out and 1050 patrons were in the foyer. Today we seat only several hundred over 8 boutique cinemas, but, we still think our foyer gets mighty busy. Unique to the cinema was the pram room where babies in their prams were placed and given a number, if your baby started crying, your number was flashed on the screen.’
Always showing the best new blockbusters as well as more cultural films and documentaries, and even old favourites both at the Sun Yarraville and (when open in the summer) the Sun outdoor cinema in Williamstown. Definitely a must visit for any movie buff or on a rainy afternoon.

I don’t play golf but apparently there are people who do!!! Here’s a golf course right near The East Wing’s doorstep. I go there sometimes just for a walk but others go to play golf! ⛳️
