Hiking
There are some amazing hiking trails near Kahshe Lake Getaway. They range in difficulty. Remember to bring water, sunscreen and bug spray.
This hiking option is located at the end of Sam Cook Road (The road the cottage is on). It is good for hiking. We would suggest driving to the trail as it is a 4-5 kms away. Parking is tricky but the road is maintained.

Kahshe Barrens Trail
1342 ON-11Just off of Highway 11.
Bass Lake is 600 metres from the cottage. It's a beautiful walk down Sam Cook Road, then a right on Houssey Rapids Road and then go to the left at Barkway. There is a great beach at this park.

This is a very convenient store in nearby Washago. From kindling wood to pickles and milk.. it is a one-stop shop. The attached bakery and coffee shop has the most amazing treats.
