While you are here and within walking distance, you might want to check out "The Spite House." Located at 523 Queen Street. It is historical and known as one of the tiniest houses, which is 7' wide and 25' ft deep and a whopping 325 square (with two stories). If you do some research, you'll find the reason for that name.

We have the "Oldest Farmers' Market," which has occurred every Saturday since 1753, rain or shine, 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM—located in front of the Town Hall at 301 King Street. You can find fresh produce, flowers, and original artwork; a leisurely walk will get you there in fifteen minutes.

Christ Church is right around the corner on Cameron St and is known as one of the oldest churches. George Washington was an attendant. It is still in operation, and they provide free tours and hold services. If you want to have a wedding there, you might have to wait a year or more.

In 2021 the City of Alexandria approved closing off an entire block near Union Street, allowing pedestrians to walk on the roads. While there, stop by the Fish Market Restaurant-105 King Street. It's known for great seafood and live entertainment; locals call it our very own "Cheers."
