Gordon’s Bay is a short 5min stroll along the coastal walk towards Bondi from Coogee Beach. Stop for a quick swim in this protected little cove popular with locals for sun baking on the rocks before you reach Clovelly beach.

This classic coastal walk has wonderful views of all the major beaches but less known is the extended version from Coogee to Maroubra. It’s worth following google maps as a short section stops and you need to detour off the track but it will continue again a few streets along through Lurline Bay and through the coast line down to Maroubra beach. Continuing south from Maroubra beach is a very beautiful section of national park, the Maroubra headland walking track, a less well known and far more pristine nature trail, with some incredible scenic views along the way.
