I’m not a huge hiker so check out the All Trails app for other options, these are just a few of the ones we do often
Walking distance from our Yacht Street cabin, in fact most days my boyfriend and I run up it at 7am. Good workout if you run or walk it. Great views starting about halfway up and spectacular views at the top! About 3 miles round trip from the cabin.

My son, dog and I love this hike. It’s mostly flat with beautiful views of spooner lake, if going in winter the lake is usually frozen. We love the Aspen stand and elevated walkway about halfway through, reminiscent of Peppermint Forest in Candyland. Cost is $10 to get in, pay the
$$ I’ve seen park rangers giving tickets. It’s a 4-5 mile hike. There’s also some interesting history on this lake and look for Nevada’s forest management piles of underbrush. Lastly, the drive here is BEAUTIFUL!

Hike looks harder then it is, very short with excellent views. Very Instagramable. The first part is a narrow path and the last bit is a scramble over rocks.
