Whiskeytown is an excellent gem in Redding’s outdoor crown. The whiskeytown falls area is good if you want a smaller lake experience. At the same time, the main lake is great for all sorts of water activities.

This magnificent waterfall is the tallest in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area at a towering 220 feet. This usually misty trail offers a change in climate which invites unique plants and animals. This trail connects to the Mill Creek Trail. This waterfall is moderately accessible by trail. A map of the trail to Whiskeytown Falls is available at the Whiskeytown Visitor Center. Not recommended with kids

This magnificent waterfall is the tallest in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area at a towering 220 feet. This usually misty trail offers a change in climate which invites unique plants and animals. This trail connects to the Mill Creek Trail. This waterfall is moderately accessible by trail. A map of the trail to Whiskeytown Falls is available at the Whiskeytown Visitor Center. About 7 miles from Shasta Lake and is an amazing waterpark. Great place for kids to have a blast
