North Hamma Hamma RoadThis is a moderate hike to a beautiful Alpine Lake. At 7 miles and with an elevation gain of 1630 ft, you'll pass giant boulders, a rushing river, and many giant trees. This is a moderate hike just over 5 miles with an elevation gain of 669. It's a beautiful out-and-back hike along the Quilcence River. Dogs are welcome on a leash and a Discover pass or America the Beautiful pass can be used for parking.

Food scene
Some of the best food we have had in Mason County is here at Hook and Fork at the Union City Market. Currently open from 10 am - 4 pm Thursday through Monday, the food here is fresh and delicious! Dress to eat outside for a view you will never forget! (I just saw my first land-based Orca while at lunch at Hook and Fork last week!) There is live Musica Thursday and Monday from 2 - 4 pm.
Also, they have a cure little gift shop you can purchase local art and wares.

Looking for a good pizza joint? We love this place because they have great prices and yummy pizza! Beers and ciders are available on tap, as is wine by the glass or the bottle. They also have gluten-free crust available! They are open from Noon to 9 pm Wednesday through Saturday.

It can take a while to get seated, but they have fires to warm you if it's a cold day and cold drinks to cool you if it's a hot day. Please note that this restaurant is completely outside, from the kitchen to the dining tables and even the bathrooms. If that is not your style, maybe this is not your place. Also, don't deprive yourself of the experience if you don't like oysters. They have other options than seafood on the menu. I love their soups and chilis. If you do like oysters, then make a reservation. You will need to do this on the Monday before you want to dine. Your first dozen oysters are included in the price of your reservation. If you have any questions about this process, please message me! I am happy to help you set this up or troubleshoot you through it. My first time was not easy, but having the reservation on a busy day was worth the technical trouble.
