This place has the BEST barbecue in Fayetteville and is just down the street from where you're staying.Get there early because they sell out of the favorites pretty quickly. The owner, Wade Fowler, is full of dad jokes and southern hospitality! If you go in tell him Tisha sent you. You won't be disappointed.

Looking for somewhere special to take someone special? Luigi's is it! They have THE BEST RIBEYE in town and a sea bass that is simply mouth watering. I always fill up on the bread with oil and herbs but I never leave disappointed! Another family owned favorite.

This historic site is very controversial. Once a location where estate sales were held, men and women were also sold into slavery to cover debts. It is one of only 40 National Historic Landmarks in North Carolina and the only one in Cumberland County. The history of this location, while painful, is also significantly meaningful.

This place has been a favorite for me year after year. Mr. E.A. Poe was a local businessman and owner of the Poe Brick Company, not the famous writer of the macabre! This is a really neat tour, guiding you through 19th century living. If you like historical sites, you'll love this place!

As a military brat, this place is so special to me. For over twenty years, the U.S. Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum has told the stories of those who have fought valiantly to protect the liberty we hold most dear. The Museum has preserved and honored the legendary feats of our Airborne and Special Operations Soldiers. If you enjoy military exhibits, you'll love this place!

If you're a nature lover and enjoy outdoor exercise, the Cape Fear River Trail is a must do. The trail is a 10-foot wide paved path for walkers, joggers, bicyclists and others utilizing non-motorized transportation. It winds for nearly 5.5 miles, one-way, through a beautiful blend of trees, plants and wildlife with spectacular views of the river. The terrain can be flat or slightly hilly. In addition to the wooden bridges, including one covered bridge, there is over 1,000 feet of boardwalk through the marsh and wetlands along the trail.

Baseball anyone? Segra Stadium, a new $40 million baseball stadium in Fayetteville, North Carolina, is the home of the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, a Minor League Baseball team playing in the Carolina League. The ballpark accommodates about 5,290 spectators for in-season baseball games, and possibly more during special events happening year-round.
