It is lovely to slow down and enjoy the unique casual vibe that Bellingen is renowned for.
Bellingen is not a sleepy country town though. It hosts a number of festivals across the year and generally has live music available at at least one venue most weekends. The big Bellingen markets take place on the 3rd Saturday of the month at Bellingen Park. A smaller market is held at the showground on the other Saturdays.
With great cafes, restaurants and shopping it is easy for time to disappear exploring Historic Hyde street and the surrounds.
