Lovely and safe park. Fill out of birds, turtles, beaver, and ducks. Amazing! The parking is free. It has a paved footpath for walking or bicycle. A beautiful bird sanctuary that does not disappoint with 200 bird species. It is over 1,400 acres of meadows, forests, and wetlands. The park is well known because it is a peaceful escape from the busy Northern Virginia lifestyle, and is rich in majestic forests, wildflower-speckled meadows, and vast wetlands bursting with life. Some of the best wildlife watching is enjoyed there from the half-mile wetland boardwalk trail and observation tower.
