Sightseeing
Located on the West End of St. Croix, Sandy Point -- the actual location of the ending scene in Shawshank Redemption -- is absolutely breathtaking. The best beach in St. Croix is open from September through March and closed April through August to allow for turtle nesting. You will want to bring a cooler for drinks and snacks but skip brining anything that breaks the surface of the sand (umbrellas, etc.) so as not to disturb any little baby turtle eggs.

We recommend renting gear from SCUBA just across the street from the Pier.

Hotel on the Cay is the beach on the island directly in front of the Boardwalk. Take a walk down to the end of the Boardwalk and hop on the short ferry ride for a little slice of paradise in downtown. Notably, the location was featured in the novel "Don't Stop the Carnival" by Herman Wouk, which is available for purchase at Virgin Islands Coffee Roasters.

The architecture, much like Christiansted, features beautiful Danish architecture and is worth a stroll along the main walk by the ocean. Note you may have difficulty getting taxi from Frederiksted to Christiansted at night. Avoid staying out late (after 10:00 p.m.).

They always have a few on hand as a featured dessert and you can special order one to ship home or pack in a suitcase (this happens more than you would think). Highly recommend making reservations for 6:30 and taking in the breathtaking sunset over cocktails before enjoying dinner. This is a slow paced dining experience that allows you to enjoy the environment.

AMA is probably my second favorite restaurant on St. Croix. It is definitely my favorite date spot. The food is always delicious featuring only the freshest ingredients and the VIEW IS AMAZING. Highly recommend making reservations for 6:30 and taking in the breathtaking sunset over cocktails before enjoying dinner. This is a slow paced dining experience that allows you to enjoy the environment.

The "Best Gas Station Food in America." Looks may be deceiving, but the pulled pork BBQ sandwiches here are amazing and they always feature a dinner special. This place is hopping with locals starting around Happy Hour.

Adventures
SCUBA is my favorite St. Croix Scuba Diving shop. They offer everything from snorkel rentals to Advanced scuba diving courses. If you have enough people, you can even take a lionfish hunting course! Also, they offer boat dives from both locations (Christiansted and Frederiksted). Pro tip: black tip reef sharks can usually be spotted on the North shore boat in Christiansted.
