Then swing next door to the candy shop and load up on all your childhood favorites. There are many unique little shops on this waterfront town, as well as pretty sites.

All I can say is YUM! The Boathouse boasts some of the finest dining experiences in Traverse City. With gorgeous views of the bay, excellent staff service, and food good enough to write home about, it is definitely a must.

5 star Italian food? Yes please! Not only is Stella's situated in the historic and reclaimed State Hospital, but it also has some of the best food in town. It is hard to go wrong there.

Hands down my favorite down to earth place to eat. I'm not vegan, but this vegan food is so good it makes me want to be. They even have vegan sushi! Absolutely everything you can order here is delicious. And it happens to be located in an arcade bar, so grab some food, grab a drink and play some games!

One of my favorite breakfast spots! It's right downtown, so you could go for a nice post breakfast walk. I recommend getting there at 8am right when they open, so you are insured a table quickly.

You can find me here any random chance I get. Geared mostly towards pinball, but has other classic arcade games like Pac Man and Skiball. The bar has a really cool concept of having only canned items - canned cocktails, canned wine, canned beer, canned water...you get the idea. Coin slot even has a really nice open patio with a food truck and couple popup restaurants to enjoy. This barcade does allow minors before 9pm, but I would say it's not the first place I would bring small children...your teens would love it though!

A delightful beach to bring the kids to. It has a nice length of shallow sandbar before getting deep, and a river feeding into the bay which is also fun to explore and swim. There is also a playground, basket ball court, and tennis court.

As well as the name being fantastic, this is also a fantastic beach. It is great for those who really want to swim, because it gets deep quickly and it has the softest sugar sands for your toes to enjoy. Like to fish? Right before the beach, there is a dam that you can enjoy fishing off of...don't forget to grab your fishing license!
Dam Beach and Fishing Park
As well as the name being fantastic, this is also a fantastic beach. It is great for those who really want to swim, because it gets deep quickly and it has the softest sugar sands for your toes to enjoy. Like to fish? Right before the beach, there is a dam that you can enjoy fishing off of...don't forget to grab your fishing license!
This beach and park is hit or miss on how busy it will be, but it is a great spot and right down TC for easy access. There is a splash pad for the littles, and a snack stand by the changing rooms.
