Hip, trendy, and yet approachable, the East Market District (affectionately called "Nulu" -- New Louisville) is the coolest neighborhood to eat, drink and play. Lots of restaurants (See Decca, La Bodegita and Mayan Cafe in the guidebook), bars, karaoke, galleries and even a glass blowing studio. Nearby Butchertown and Main Street have cool venues as well.

You can find ample parking, but it's best to walk at least part of the stretch to soak up the crunchy/urban/funky/fun vibe.
