Filly Caffè is one of the best Italian Breakfast places in the area. Ask for a typical "Maritozzo", or enjoy an ice cream.

This is the closest supermarket with a wide range of products, anyway there are many others around the area, both high quality such "Elite" or low cost such as "Todis".

Fortunato is one of the best pastry shops in the area. I would not choose it to sit outside but definitely to order a cake or have a quick delicious break at the counter to enjoy Roman and also Neapolitan delights.

A few steps away you will find restaurants loved by locals, among these Brado is the favourite my guests suggested.

Mini Trips close by

For longer stays you might want to explore the surroundings of Rome. My place allows you to reach splendid gems by train or metro.
By regional train you can reach "Castelli Romani" and enjoy a mini break out of the city. You can drink there the local wine at the rustic "Fraschettas", which provide you with a table to eat the "Porchetta" you just bought from the street stall.

Shopping

Some guests were asking me where to find sport apparel for the Caffarella park or simply an electronics store. Happio city mall gives you many shopping solutions and it's 8 min walk away.

Metro A (main line of Rome's subway) and regional Rail stop

Central Termini station is 7 minute by underground "Metro A". You can reach all the hot touristic spots by Metro A and change in Termini to "Metro B" (Colosseum). Nonetheless the area is served by so many buses you might enjoy a ride with a view :). If you land in Fiumicino the regional trains can stop you at 4 min walk from the front door. If you land in Ciampino a taxi will drive you home in 15 minutes (no rush hours) or you can pick the urban bus n.520 to catch metro A in "Cinecittà". You cannot purchase tickets onboard, here more info: https://www.atac.roma.it/en/tickets-and-passes

When in Rome do as the Romans do

- A tip is not mandatory but is recommended for an excellent service, this will be highly appreciated and not forgotten. - Do not accept invitations from taxi drivers that show a license at the airport or railway station, the only legal ones are those waiting in line out of arrivals. - cover your shoulders and legs when entering a church, shorts and cleavage are not allowed in. - some places are wonderful to visit at sunset also to avoid crowds, plan a stroll to see the fountains after dusk - we don't live in the 80s anymore, there are Apps to buy train and metro tickets (Trenitalia&Atac)
