Bekhilderen, Sotra
In the cliffside of the shore-end of Sotra, hidden by the waves and tides, you will find this magical cave. To get there, you need to walk around 45 minutes to one hour, depending on your hiking skills. It’s not a difficult hike, most people can do it, but it is unfortunately not suitable for people with disabilities. There is some simple climbing at the end, to get down to the caves. But the reward to get down is huge.
When you’re almost there, you walk past the most amazing infinity pool, made by nature. Make sure to be there at low tide, as you will not be able to get inside the caves at high tide. The cave is pretty big, big enough for a whole crowd.

When you get up to the cairn you get a good view of Øygarden, Askøy, Nordhordland and Meland. This trip goes back down the same way, but here there are several opportunities to go down to both Skurtveit, Husebø and to Veten for slightly longer trips.
The trip can be done all year round, but I would like to pay attention to ice and snow due to the steep ascent/descent.
The whole trip is completed in about 50 minutes for a normal person with normal fitness with a quick stop at the top. But could not choose a shorter time on the page.
