Across the crosswalk on Sooke rd, you will find the Galloping Goose trail. On either foot or bike, you can travel one direction to the Sooke Potholes and Leechtown. In the other direction, you will find a beautiful oceanfront walk along the Sooke Basin. By bike, ride to Matheson Lake, through Metchosin to Langford and all the way to Victoria!

Great beer and patio with Sooke basin view. Dog friendly. Walking distance from Cottage but we'd recommend crossing Sooke Rd and taking the Goose trail. You'll come down Woodlands rd and cross over Sooke rd. Not the best crossing as there's no crosswalk. We find it's a nicer walk than Sooke rd.
