Halfway through the wildlife loop is a short path to the beach. Off the beaten path. Not private but way less people than the parking lot beach. If you wait until the afternoon they open the loop to car traffic and you can park closer to the path.

Take a day to travel to assateague island Maryland side. We usually do this on a light rainy day. The horses here are out where you drive so watch for them. Sometimes you will even see them on the beach.
