Really good Thai food! We get it for takeout often. The Red curry and Green curry are both delicious... and if you want a special Hawaiian treat... get the Pineapple Curry!! Just beware this place makes their food on 5 levels of spicy. I love super spicy food and I cannot tolerate their Medium. The spice levels are Mild, Mild Plus, Medium, Medium Plus and Hot. If you do not like spicy food, get Mild, if you love super spicy food, get Mild Plus... everything above that is melt your face off hot! You have been warned!

Moon and Turtle is one of the best fine dining restaurants in Hilo and rumor has it they are about to get their first Michelin Star! Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere with decent prices. Highly recommended!

Sightseeing
Kaloli Point is just a short walk North on our street and offers breathtaking coastal views, lava formations and small rainforest hikes. To get there, walk North on our street all the way to the end (about a mile or less). Where the street ends a hiking trail begins. Turn right for a quick walk through the rainforest that will open up to the beautiful coast. Continue North up the coast on the wide lava cliffs to Kaloli Point and beyond.

We recommend getting there around 3-4pm so you have some time to visit everything during daylight hours and then heading to the top of the crater by 6:30pm so you can get a parking spot in the small lot at the top (it fills up fast) for a view of the glowing lava at night! The glowing lava is best seen after 7:15pm

This is a beautiful waterfall in the middle of Hilo and you can drive right up to it and then walk 50 feet. Great photo opportunities! As you are leaving there is a beautiful Banyon tree forest on the right!
