Within a half hour of Owen Sound. Many can be linked together for a day of multiple awesome sights.
Amazing destination along the shores of Georgian Bay, just north of Owen Sound. The gardens are an oasis to wander and be blown away by the profuse blooms and design any time during the growing season. Closed Tuesdays. Visit the Big Bay dock to skip some stones, and take in ice cream at the General Store to complete the afternoon.

Within ten minute walk from the house.
A local treasure of trails, restaurant, historic plaques, and the salmon run in the fall, this extensive park boasts many different habitats and mature trees. Many facilities for outdoor activities are available. The trails connect with Inglis falls and the Grey Sauble conservation area trails along the Sydenham River valley.
The closest entrance to the park is close by! Wiggle to get there:turn right out the door, go right (west) on 7th street east, left (south) on 4th ave east to 6th Street east. Up the hill a short block, turn right (south) on 5th ave east again and proceeded to the dead end, that leads into the park along the river.

The best maple syrup and honey and beeswax products the region has to offer. Don’t miss Cottage Country North preserves. Honestly the tastiest receipts around.

Walking or parking (two hours free) is easy in Owen Sound.
The house is nestled at the bottom of the east slope of Downtown Owen Sound. Everything Downtown has to offer is easy walking distance from home, Driving 5 mins takes you to the larger grocery and chain stores on the ‘upper’ east and west sides of the city. Metro grocery store is downtown by the harbour.
