Fort Smith is a very historical Western frontier town that sits on the Arkansas River as a border town for Arkansas and Oklahoma. There are historical sites and museums to visit and a riverfront walking/bike path, with a local bike rental close by. The US Marshall museum is also but a quick stroll away.
