Food scene

The Break Room is one of our favorites in town that offers a seasonal menu that would enchant you. They source food from regional farmers, producers, and distillers. The restaurant is located in the gorgeous Greylock Works building complex with other artisanal shops, artists' studios, and an event calendar.

Our favorite restaurant in the Williamstown strip -if you are up for Mediterranean flavors. Ask for a Raki, the Turkish national drink made of twice-distilled grapes and aniseed!

Outdoors activities

So many spectacular outdoor scenes to discover in this region by foot and on bicycles ...
This is a family-friendly hike that is only a mile long and a short driving distance from downtown. You can park your car at the YMCA or Brayton Elementary School nearby (the trail head is just a short walk from the parking lot). We enjoy this hike in all 4 seasons - snow covered creek is just as gorgeous as the fall foliage or a summer stroll. And at the end of the trail you are rewarded with a beautiful view of the water fall (or frozen "glacier"). :)

This is a local gem that you don't want to miss. The abandoned Hoosac Marble Quarry is the hidden secret of the park - you get to walk around the only man-made white marble dam in North America. Truly awe-inspiring: according to geologists, the park's namesake natural bridge, made of 550 million year-old bedrock marble, was carved into its iconic arch by the forces of glacial melt water over 13,000 years ago. Today, the bridge spans the bubbling Hudson Brook as it twists and tumbles through a steep 60-foot gorge--one of the best demonstrations of glacial erosion in New England.
