hiking, there are some beautiful places to hinkninnthenVally; Mt Tzuhalum, Maple Mountain, or Cobble Hill Mountain. A beautiful walk/run is the kinsol trail. Mt Prevost always has lots of quaders and dirkbikers and Mt Tzuhalum has a ton on mountain biking trails. you can find lots of good swimming along the Cowichan River, but it's a bit Chilli!
beautiful swimming spots all throughout the lake. can also rent boats and possibly jet skis. you can rent tubes in Lake Cowichan and tube down the Cowichan River, they will drive you back to you vehicle at the end point.
