Food scene
For lovely healthy style food and one of the prettiest dining locations, Bumbles cafe is a must. Located down the end of Palm Avenue on the waterfront. Bumbles Cafe offers plenty of outdoor seating and indoor dining. The view is beautiful overloking the river, the food is great and the service is good as well. Certainly worth going for a breakfast or lunch the laze about under a palm tree for a while after eating and watch the boats and jet ski's going up and down the river.

Alway a hub of activity and much loved place to visit by locals and tourists.

Surfers is a bustling city where people are relaxed and generally opt for a more casual dress code. With white sandy beaches, sparkling clear waters with life savers at most, hundreds of restaurants and shops to suit any taste or budget, theme parks, oceans, mountains, fishing, snorkelling, surfing, sunbaking or relaxing there is certainly plenty to do. You can visit the nearby Tamborine mountains or head down south to Byron Bay for the day (1.5 hours by car). Brisbane the capital is an hour away by car or train where concerts and sporting events are usually held. Surfers is a great place for the young and the old as it seems to stay awake all night with its bright ights and people enjoying everthing it has to offer. A very safe place but like anywhere in the world today if you are out late always take care and dont walk in dark places. You will often see police patrolling surfers on horseback and pushbikes as well as cars so its pretty safe really. We have lived in and around here over the past 15 years and never encounted any trouble what so ever.
if you are going to the beach it is always recommended you swim between the red and yellow flags for your safety and never swim in unpatrolled beaches due to rips.
Wear sunblock and a hat too, the sun is very strong and the UV can e misleading on overcast days. nd the last thing you want is to get burnt on your holidays.
So enjoy everything Surfers paradise has to offer, relax, unwind, eat, shop or whatever it is you like to enjoy in this amazingly beautiful city.

A large kids park and GC Aqua park is located just down the road at Marine Parade, Southport Broadwater Parklands, Southport · The park has a huge jumping castle, train ride, and many other features that children love. The water park has so many features and hours of fun for the older kids.
