The Ship is a good local pub that serves good value food and great local ales. Covid can reduce the availability, but Tribute is always on draft.

Many cafes about and I’m sure they are all good, but one I know is good. If sitting in booking is highly recommended. They also do take out. Directions from Stay Salty is a right out of main entrance, left onto Northumberland Place and just keep on the left-hand side pavement and it will eventually appear on the left.

Head towards the RNLI Teignmouth lifeboat station and you can’t miss the ferry pickup point. Be aware it only runs in fair weather but a road taxi should be between 5 and 10 pounds via the bridge if Shaldon is where you’re heading.

reverse! But what a spot! Here you can watch the sailing club members showing their skills, or in the summer months the wake boarders launching off the kicker and catching big air! This is where great views of the Devon hill side and the estuary can be had from the some spot.

Walking and Cycling
You can pick this up at the Ness but to warn you very quickly its get VERY steep but great views over Teignmouth. It might be an idea to park at Watcombe Beach Road (Google maps). There is a car park here. Walk down towards Watcombe beach and you will find the coastal path intercepts this. Turn right onto the path and it leads all the way to Babbacombe Beach (2.3 miles one way) where you’ll find a very nice pub / restaurant Cary Arms & Spa. Round trip is circa 4.6 miles and about an hour each way.
