Bellevue and the CNP

Neighbourhoods

The Christmas lights on main street in Bellevue will warm your heart. There’s a little cafe, but I haven’t checked it out yet. You can walk to Fireman’s Park to access the CNP Community Trail from my house - see pic from Trailforks app for details. Definitely check out the Ice Cream shop from May to October, and there is lots of local art and literature available at Crockets Trading Post - definitely worth a visit! The IGA is your best place for groceries, and there’s a lovely farmers market in the summer/fall months. When driving from Bellevue to Blairmore, check out the art gallery in the town of Frank, they have beautiful installations and gifts featuring local artists. Check out Spry for outdoor gear, the Stones Throw cafe for the best cookies, and the Cherry on Top bakery for amazing cupcakes and homemade Kombucha. There’s also delicious Indian Food at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, and good Asian fusion at Bamboo Bistro. Blackrock Pizza makes the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life, and I don't say that lightly! For hiking, I recommend downloading the app called “Trailforks.” There are lots of great hikes and mountain bike rides on the Pass Powder Keg ski hill. The trails are well marked, and Trailforks will track your route so you don’t have to worry about getting lost. And, it runs off GPS so it won’t eat up your data! Tap on each photo for details.

I love Coleman for the Flyfishing cafe (breakfast and lunch,) the Cinnamon Bear, and the Rum Runner. Pass Beer is a new microbrewery but I haven’t checked it out yet myself. Flummerfeldt park is a lovely walk to a waterfall, about 40 minutes round trip. Definitely worth checking out! There’s also fun thrift shopping at the Bagatelle ;) Tap on each photo for details.

Driving west from Coleman, check out Chinook Lake for groomed cross country ski trails in the winter and wonderful hiking in the summer. There is a section of xc ski trail where dogs are allowed - ask me for details!
