A small village at the foot of the escarpment (25 km) north from Mto wa Mbu. Mainly Maasai people doing agriculture. You can drive to the place from Kigongoni where you enter the Mto wa Mbu area. There is a road close to Kigongoni hospital. Nice drive along the escarpment.

If you drive up the escarpment some 5 minutes towards Karatu and Ngorongo there is a viewpoint where you can park you car and view the Rift Valley, Manyara national park and the Lake Manyara. Very beautiful. It is also possible to walk up there - som 20-30 minutes and walk down again. But do it early morning when its cool.
