Fantastic bakery run by very friendly Dutch bloke Joe. Low key surrounds with really good pastries, pies and sandwiches. Great coffee and is open from 5am.

Beautiful old pub with amazing interior. Great local wines and good food (not cheap). Fantastic beer garden in summer. Attached café open for breakfast and lunch does great coffee with small outdoor area heated in winter. Dog friendly :)

Excellent cross country skiing in winter (can hire skis, toboggans and snow shoes in Marysville at the base of the mountain). Good tobogganing for the kids and lovely snow shoe trails. Equally good in the warmer months with excellent cross country mountain biking and hiking trails. Great ride to the top on the road bike. Lots of information online. Entry fee only in winter. Great rail trail starts from Lilydale to Warburton (you can start from a number of places along the trail). Reasonably flat/mildly undulating. Great to cycle/run/walk. Passes through some beautiful parts of the valley.
