Green Valley Park has a lake with a large sidewalk that goes around it on one side of the road and on the other continues with a music stand for outdoor concerts and events, a children's playground, our Veteran's Memorial and an open grassy lawn for playing ball and a hill that families use for sledding during the winter snows. A full figure 8 walk on the sidewalk around both sides of the park equal 1 mile. Fountains recirculate the water coming up in the center of the lake and there is a fishing dock. The lake is stocked with trout from the Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery. You will often see individuals fishing along the sides of the lake. We also have wild ducks, geese and a pair of cranes.

The Rim Country Museum complex consists of the Oldest Forest Ranger Station and Residence still standing in the Southwest, originally built in 1907 and then later re-built upon their original foundations around 1933.
The exhibit hall is a replica of the two-story 'Herron Hotel' known as the 'Hilton of Payson' in the early 1900's.
Additionally we have an approximately 1900 Haught cabin and the top of the Forest Service watchtower from Mt. Ord.

The food and service are excellent. Prices are more reasonable than other steakhouses or establishments that provide salmon, trout, steak and other fine foods. They have a great salad bar and often have a buffet. There is great variety on their menu- even entrees the kids will like.

Shoofly Village Archaeological Ruins offers visitors a self-guided tour back into another era. The Shoofly Indian Ruins were believed to have been occupied between A.D. 1000-1250. At an elevation of 5,240 feet, Shoofly Village once had a total of 79 structures of which the rock outlines, once the base of the walls, are still visible.
As both farmers and hunters, they grew corn, beans, squash, possibly cotton and successfully hunted deer, elk, rabbits, rodents, birds, and migratory fowl (ducks and geese). It is also believed they may have raised turkeys (wild turkeys are indigenous to the area). Their brown clay pottery were mostly jar-shaped vessels but were not decorated with designs.
