ATMs are Sparse in Hakuba
Hakuba and Japan more generally is still very much a cash society. The larger venues will accept credit cards but many restaurants and bars will not. The only places to withdraw cash are the convenience stores or the Happo Bus Terminal.

The Snow Monkey Tour
This full day tour leaves Hakuba in the morning and takes guest 1.5 hours to the Jigokudani Park where you can see the Snow Monkeys bathe in the natural hot spring water. Guests then have a traditional Japanese lunch before traveling an hour to Nagano City to explore the 8th Century Zenkoji Temple.
