Known locally as Missouri's little grand canyon, this state park is a hidden gem. It has several overlooks and a nice hiking trail. Definitely worth the short drive. Its about 13 miles from the Corner Cottage.

Check out the Mammoth Spring Aquatic Center! Its a great place to learn about area wildlife. You can see fish in the aquariums, meet Sheldon the Alligator and even feed some giant carp! Call ahead for hours.

A really great hike with a big reward at the end! This Spring is beautiful and the wilderness setting will melt stress away. This is a moderately difficult hike. The way back is mostly uphill. We have taken our kids and they did fine. You will need to watch the little ones close to the spring. The current is strong. This is about a 20 mile drive from the Corner Cottage.

You will love this quaint little restaurant perched on a bluff overlooking Spring River. Breakfast is great and they have all kinds of different menu items. I love their bbq!

This is a great place to rent a boat for your Spring River adventure. I would strongly recommend a raft if you have kids or someone who is not a strong swimmer. Kayaks are also a fun way to float if you have some experience.
