It is an hour away but it is beach packed with aquatic life! The national trust have a good car park and if you like rock pooling then it’s worth a visit.

With the prison and prison museum (slightly strange) and this lovely visitor centre Princetown is worth a visit even if thick with fog you see what an exposed moorland town looks like! And when the sunshine’s the views are beautiful.

Despite the photos the pub rebuilt was finished last year and it is a great place to eat. The small and beautiful village has a picturesque green and the Lane next to the pub takes to you down to the old ford with stepping stones or a bridge to cross and if you cross the river and walk up the path and turn right at the road it leads you back into the village. A lovely 20 minute stroll! Perfect to walk off lunch or work up and appetite.

Our local and very fresh fish comes in a van on Tuesday and Friday at about 11.30. He has a selection of fresh fish from Brixham.
