Sightseeing
The Briars is a lovely property with historic significance. Only a short 5 minute drive from the house. There are a number of wonderful deck walks and bird hides with lovely wetland area. There is also a great loop walk that takes you through the amazing forest. We love visiting the old homestead, where you can step back in time and walk through the house on select days. There is also a lovely picnic area and local plant nursery / cafe. It is a great place to relax with the family.

Lovely local beach only 1.2km from the property. Walk along the beautiful sandy beach and take in the ocean views! Fisherman's beach is great for snorkelling around the rocks. It is a great place to swim, relax and unwind.

Lovely walk down to the beach. There are a number of steps and requires some care to get down to the beach through the forest path. When you reach the beach, follow the coast towards your right side and you will find the birds that like to sit on the rocks in the water. At low tide, you can explore the rocks for sea life.

Lovely place to go for a forest walk. The waterfalls are great to see after some heavy rain. The ferns and native trees in this area are very special.

We like the Racecourse market, which is held on the second Sunday of the month daylight savings time. There are also a number of events at the Racecourse throughout the year, it is a great venue and worth a visit if you are in town.
