The Hideout is a planned residential community consisting of approximately 3,200 single-family homes nestled in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pa. While the Hideout maintains many state of the art facilities, we have also set aside nearly 250 acres of pristine woodlands for preservation in its natural state for all.
This complete, four season, recreational community maintains over forty (40) miles of paved roads and modern central sewer and water systems. Part of the Wallenpaupack Watershed, the community has three main bodies of water commonly used for recreational purposes: Roamingwood Lake (198 acres); Deerfield Lake (22 acres); and Brooks Lake (9.2 acres). Also located within the community are Windemere Lake (1 acre); Hidden Lake (1 acre); and Big Springs Pond (3 acres). Guests are greeted by our Entrance Pond (3.2 acres) and eventually makes its way down to Lake Wallenpaupack via Ariel Creek.

Our Pub, Bistro and Breakfast menus offer a wide selection to satisfy any palate and specials are often added to entice you to enjoy our hospitality again and again.
For more casual dining the Tenth Hole Pub, offers a full-service bar and food menu with flat screen TV’s to enjoy all your favorite sports events in a cozy, friendly environment.
For a more family oriented dining experience, Bistro on the Green is the perfect place to enjoy dinner with your family and friends.
In the warmer months, you can also enjoy the outdoor patio which overlooks our beautiful Golf Course.

Golf
Located in the North Section of the community, The Hideout Golf Course features 9 challenging holes totaling 3,344 yards of green expanse. Throughout the season the course is host to numerous tournaments and charitable events. Nestled in the lower level of the Clubhouse is the Golf Pro Shop, fully stocked with supplies and apparel. Ski Hill
**The Ski Hill is open to Members and Guests of The Hideout only**
When winter places its cold and snowy grip on Northeast Pennsylvania, head over to the Hideout Winter Sports Complex located off Westwood Drive across from the Nubia Malkin Art Center. We have three ski trails accessed from the top of our chairlift, a beginner’s slope with surface lift access and a tube hill with its own lift access. There is also a natural ice skating rink.
Our Rental Shop has skis, snowboards and ice skates for rent.
Our Ski School offers lessons for skiing and snowboarding.

The Recreational Sports Complex is a multifaceted sport complex that provides members and their guests with various services and is the main hub to all your recreational activities in the Hideout.
A first class Fitness Center and Aerobic Room, Saunas, Library, Card Room, two Indoor Tennis Courts, two Outdoor Tennis Courts , Indoor Shuffleboard Court, Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Pickle Ball, Game Room, Recreation Office, Children’s Room, Multi-Purpose Room all are housed at the Recreational Sports Complex in the North Section of the Hideout on North Fairway Drive.
Stepping outside the sports complex, The Hideout has six additional outside tennis courts, two sets are lighted for night time play, a 2.7 mile Walking Trail, Mini Golf Course, South Recreation baseball field, two basketball courts, four shuffleboard courts, two bocce, six horseshoe pits, two volleyball courts, two handball/racquetball courts, four playgrounds, Community Garden.
The Recreation Department organizes and runs activities year round.
Spring/Summer

Pool & Beaches
The Hideout has two outdoor swimming pools and two beaches. See brochure for operating hours.
The Main Lodge offers hourly non-power boat rentals: Paddleboats, rowboats, canoes, double kayaks, and kayaks along with chaise lounges also available at the North Pool. See brochure for pricing and rules.
There are different activities going on throughout the week at the Main Pool. Aqua Aerobics, Beach Bingo, Pool Games, Art at the Beach and Ceramics on the Beach.
Three Beach Parties are held at the Main Lodge Beach on the Holiday weekends along with Fireworks, Boat Regatta, and Little Miss and Mr. Pageant on July 4th weekend.
The Aquatics Department offers a large variety of swim lessons. See brochure.
