We love this neighbourhood cafe/bakery for its great coffee (made on a La Marzocco GS3) and decadent pastries. On weekends (pizza nights: Fri-Sat 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM) they also offer very interesting pizzas. It's close to the apartment and has a casual vibe and great wi-fi.

Great seafood in a vibrant and fun environment (open as well on Sunday). It is often full and a little crowded but it just adds to the lively & welcoming atmosphere of this place. The freshness of the product never disappoints and there are also good wines. Go here for a casual dinner with friends. We eat here often and have not been disappointed yet.

If you feel like some good Neapolitan pizza or simply a bowl of pasta in a cosy urban backyard vibe then try Felix Pizza. The owner Miwi is the mastermind behind this laid-back restaurant which has a selection of natural wines and cocktails. Very nice salads as well. Always good sound. Open Sundays.

For us hands down the best Italian in town. Marco Carboni worked with the finest chefs in his hometown - Modena - before moving to Mexico. You can feel the influence of his northern Italian roots in the food. Locally sourced ingredients get paired with nice Italian wines. The decor is chic and the atmosphere friendly. Coffee Congress from neighbouring Buna Coffee.

This was the first natural wine bar in CDMX. Gaëtan Rousset is in charge of the wine and the talented chef Joaquin Cardoso makes sure you have something very nice to eat. Informal setting with some outside tables. Very nice service.

Go here for good tacos and Mezcal. Although, sometimes a little 'too cool for school', it is nevertheless a fun place with lots of local people & only a few mins walk from the apartment. It tends to be rather loud and busy on Fridays and Saturdays but it's certainly not dull! Note that it is daytime only. Next door Expendio de Maíz is great as well and a good option if the wait for El Parnita is too long.

The place is great for tacos al pastor - a family favourite. During the day it's a bodyshop but then at night it converts into a pumping taqueria - our family would argue its worth the uber ride!
