Great place to grab a drink and hang with friends. The inside space feels much more like a bar but the exterior space takes it over the top. Also great location for other fun things to do in the area so it is a great place to hub from and just spend the day or afternoon.

Excellent start to our Sunday morning in Birmingham! Back Forty is huge and I would love to experience it at night, with the cool outdoor area, market lights and Sloss Furnace views. The ambiance is laid back and welcoming.
Great atmosphere, HUGE venue, engaging activities, friendly staff, decent clientele, and dog/kid-friendly!
My favorite it Cahaba Blonde.

Good selection of food. Everything we ordered was tasty and there was a LOT of it! The curry ketchup that was served with the potato wedges is such a simple but delightful combination of flavors. Loved the open atmosphere, plants, and the boar hiding in the back.

legitimately the best barbecue in Birmingham. Make sure to get the barbecue chicken with the white sauce (mayonnaise based). And the sweet and tangy white sauce is a great complement. The ribs were also amazing. my favorite!!! They were fall off the bone tender (so I think they were braised first).
