Crystal Clear water, from the State Park to the end of the run. Drive about 45 minutes and visit the State Park (only $2!) and walk through lovely grounds where there was once an amusement park. Rent a tube or a kayak and float down the springs!

A small Gulf beach, with a long fishing pier and a lovely walkway, this beach usually has a variety of wading birds. There is also a boat launch. Driving out Ft Island Trail, there are places to stop and enjoy a few birding walks, as well as a stop at the fishing pier and boat launch on the right as you head towards the beach.

Kayaking is awesome in Ozello!
We have several kayaks for your use, and a huge map in the house to help you decide where to paddle first. Lorena is the leader of the Ozello paddler's club as well as the moderator of the Florida Kayaker Community on Facebook, and loves to give advice on paddling in the area. From the rivers and Gulf to the springs, the kayaking in our area is superb.

Fishing in Ozello
Fishing and crabbing are the highlights of any trip to Ozello. We love fishing from our kayaks, and crabbing is usually great right off of the dock, but you are welcome to bring your boat. It's about 5 miles to the Gulf for scalloping (July-September), and the fishing in the rivers and bays can be excellent. The folks at the marina offer fishing trips and scalloping trips, and there are many others in our area who also have them available. There are brochures in the house, or ask us any questions you may have. We love to talk about fishing!
