Lively Downtown centers on Temple Square, with its soaring, castle-like Salt Lake Temple and the Mormon Tabernacle, an auditorium known as the home of the renowned Tabernacle Choir. The area has plentiful farm-to-table restaurants and global eateries, along with wine bars and Irish pubs. The open-air City Creek Center mall has upscale shops while ballet, opera and Broadway shows are staged at the Capitol Theatre.

For the skiers out there, my favorite resort by far! With a skiable area of 2,614 acres, Alta's base elevation is 8,530 ft and rises to 11,068 ft for a vertical gain of 2,538 ft. Located just outside of Salt Lake City, UT, Alta is annually covered by 500+ inches of the Greatest Snow on Earth.
