We love the small but beautiful old stone built Rockford Winery near Tanunda. In such a picturesque setting the wine tasting tours are delightfully entertaining. We highly recommend them as they explain the traditional Australian wines winemaking techniques.

The Oldest Town in the Adelaide Hills is Nairne
This charming old town has much of the appeal as Hahndorf without the huge crowds. Take a stroll down the Main Street and be delighted at the historical buildings and quaint cafes you discover. It’s a bit of a well kept secret but Nairne is as old as Hahndorf but the architecture is more British than German.
