Evening to late night Hang out spot
Nexus is just a stone throw away from our home. Mondays to Thursdays are slow nights and you could hung out at Nexus, grab some Nyama Choma, pizza, or choose from their assorted bar foods while you sip one of the amazing cold lagers that Uganda has to offer on a warm humid Kampala day after work or during the holidays. If you are in luck there will be an amazing Ugandan celebrity performing at Nexus, follow their facebook page for more information. Fridays and Saturdays are jam-packed with ravings with themed nights-follow their facebook pages for more information. I recommend it because it is a chill, decent place with a local and decent crowd. If you have had a crazy night, you can easily call an uber which would cost you not more than USD 10 to head home. I would not recommend walking home.
Sunday is game night and I would recommend this for families. The ambience is chill and mellow and they have these amazing game tables that you can use as a table or use as a gaming board. Amazing for families under 18 crowds and group team bonding situations, or just a bunch of friends hanging out.

It is an interesting space, on the weekend I would recommend them for their spa services and eatery/restaurant or just to hang. Over the weekend, however, they transform into an amazing hangout spot that is popular on Sunday. It is one of the few liberal spaces i know with an interesting liberal 30-40-year-old crowd.
The Venti Hotel & Spa
The Venti is no more than 10 minutes from our home depending on traffic conditions. It is an interesting space, on the weekend I would recommend them for their spa services and eatery/restaurant or just to hang. Over the weekend, however, they transform into an amazing hangout spot that is popular on Sunday. It is one of the few liberal spaces i know with an interesting liberal 30-40-year-old crowd.
The gardens is located about 8 minutes from our home. It is a chill place for Najjeran to head to after a long day at work when they do not want to deal with the traffic jam-packed commute back home, for the boys to escape to hang and watch a football match as they hog on the mouth-watering Nyama choma that is so Uganda, so Najjera and so Gardens, it has amazing lush gardens where you can go just chill or host a party. Honestly when Nexus is too packed head to The Gardens smaller crowds, more chill, less raving but as interesting if you are into a conversational night out.

Kid's Water Parks
Travelling with kids, you're in luck, on a hot Kampala day i would recommend either of two Water parks-Disney Water Parks located on Mbogo 1 road in Najjera just after Nexus and Kid's World which is huger, grander and more classy located on the Naalya-Namugongo Road just next to Quality Super Market Naalya. Its proximity to the mega mall means after a long play da with your kids you can head over to do your shop or eat from the multiple eateries at the mall.
