It is a quiet beach, a lovely beach for walking dogs and sunbathing as it is not too busy.
Locally referred to as the "Jungle Beach", due to the short walk through the mangrove to get to the beach. It has four poles to the left and Granny's Pool to the right. It is a hidden gem, where you will see local surfers catching waves when the conditions are favourable. A lovely beach for your morning or afternoon walk.

Food scene
Mozambik Ballito has a rustic set-up with the most delicious peri-peri chicken. It is still a family run business, which makes one feel right at home. Wonderful combos of chicken/prawn or chicken/calamari. The chicken is succulent and well seasoned on the inside and flame-grilled on the outside, the delicious calamari tubes are tender and immersed in the most amazing peri peri and butter sauce. The cocktails and craft beer is also great.

The Litchi Orchid takes place on the first and third Saturday of each month between 8am and 1pm.
Currently boasting 30 stallholders with products ranging from artisan breads, organic vegetables, homemade curries and Indian specialties to pancakes, dresses, nuts, preserves, German baked goods and the market favourite, a breakfast stall, the Litchi Market is obviously worth a visit on a Saturday morning.
The focus of the market is on food products that are local, farm-fresh, seasonal and sustainable. The opportunity to buy straight from the farmer means you are cutting down on your carbon footprint.
The market area is set up in the beautiful old litchi orchard - what a unique setting to spend time chatting to stallholders and sampling the variety of produce for sale. Tables and chairs are set out throughout the market and in the orchard itself so come prepared for a picnic brunch or lunch with friends and family and of course you can buy your eats and treats straight from the market itself.
